Clean the surface and cable thoroughly before installation. Preferably with alcohol.

On the back of your Avotaper, remove the “Y” piece (tape holder) and insert it into the hole on the upper arm of the Avotaper.

Attach your roll of Avotape to the "Y" piece and feed the tape through the funnel.

For round cables, remove the insert from the lower jaw of the Avotaper.

For oval cables, leave the insert in the lower jaw of the Avotaper.

Place the cable into the Avotaper and close it together. Gently pull the cable through the Avotaper to apply the Avotape. Cut the tape just below the roll.

Bend the cable together until the red foil starts to curl. Now peel off the foil.

Install the cable on any clean, dry and sealed surface.

After installation, make sure to press down firmly along the entire cable for maximum adhesive strength.
